While many sailors believe that you can never have a bad day on the water, others will agree that poor conditions can suck all the fun out of sailing at times.

Best thing about sailing: Being out on the sea, feeling free and feeling that nothing can stop you.

Worst thing about sailing: When there is no wind.

Worst thing about sailing: Getting wet and cold.

Best thing about sailing: The freedom, the fresh air and being out.

Worst things about sailing: No wind. I can handle the rain but not the no wind.

Best thing about sailing: Getting away from everyone and everything. You think about nothing but sailing.

Worst thing about sailing: When you’re the other side of the island and it’s 7pm and you were hoping to be moored up at 5pm with a gin and tonic on board and the wind has dropped and the tide is against you!
